At the Greenville Reflections & Youth Development Museum, our programs and exhibits are designed to preserve Greenville’s cultural legacy while empowering youth and the community through education, skill-building, and hands-on experiences.
Our Art & Creative Expression Program provides a welcoming space for youth and adults to explore creativity, build confidence, and express themselves through art at every stage of life. Youth participants engage in hands-on, age-appropriate activities such as drawing, painting, coloring, mixed media, crafts, introductory music, and beginner design projects that nurture imagination, develop motor skills, and encourage self-expression in a fun and supportive environment. Adult participants explore painting, sketching, creative writing, music, textile arts, and visual storytelling, creating opportunities for relaxation, reflection, cultural expression, and personal growth. Designed to be accessible, supportive, and adaptable, the program meets participants where they are while fostering creativity, emotional expression, and artistic confidence across generations.
Greenville Reflections Youth Development Museum offers a Genealogy & Family Lineage and Heritage Discovery Program that helps individuals and families explore, document, and preserve their ancestral history. Participants will receive guidance on conducting family research, using genealogy databases, organizing records, interpreting historical documents, and creating family trees. Workshops will also introduce genealogical testing as tools to support family research, while emphasizing ethical use, privacy awareness, and understanding results. This program strengthens connections to personal identity, cultural heritage, and community history, allowing participants to better understand their roots and preserve their-stories for future generations.
Greenville Reflections Youth Development Museum Financial Literacy Program equips participants with practical, real-world skills in digital money management across personal, business, and public finance. The program covers financial planning, budgeting, investing, and risk management, while introducing career pathways in banking and financial services. Participants create personalized financial action plans aligned with goals such as homeownership or entrepreneurship, practice goal-based savings using digital tools, and conduct security audits to prevent identity theft and online financial scams. Through hands-on activities like digital paycheck analysis, mock interviews and negotiations, basic tax preparation (including current tax updates), and housing cost comparisons, learners build confidence navigating modern financial systems. Interactive budgeting simulations, stock market games, and credit-building challenges further strengthen their understanding of spending, saving, investing, and managing financial risk in today’s digital economy
